Five Continents Culture into School Series Activities--- Anzi Primary School Cultural Exchange

With the Rice Dumplings' Fragrance, the College of International Education's Five Continents into School Series continued on June 6, 2024.

International students volunteers from Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Iran and other countries went to Anzi Primary School in West Coast New District for cultural exchange.

At the beginning of the activity, the Anzi Primary School Symphony Orchestra extended their warm welcome and sincere greetings to our teachers and students with two magnificent and melodious symphonic ensembles.

Our international student volunteers, dressed in national costumes, brought Central Asian folk dances to the children and shared their unique local food with them.

Then, the children of Anzi Primary School showed guzheng ensemble to the international students, conducted exchanges with the international students in painting, calligraphy, weaving and other activities with traditional Chinese culture characteristic, and invited the international students to wrap and taste Rice Dumpling together to learn about the origin and customs of the Dragon Boat Festival.

 

 

 

After the exchange program with the children, Xue Chunwei, the principal of Anzi Elementary School, organized a discussion between the staff of the relevant departments and our teachers and students on the theme of “Five Continents into the School, Culture Blooming Together”. During the discussion, the international student volunteers shared their views on cross-cultural communication and career planning, and gave their sincere wishes for Anzi Primary School.

Finally, Madi,our international student volunteer from Iran, shared his joy of participating in this event: The fantastic activities today made this Dragon Boat Festival especially special. The multi-talented children of Anzi Primary School presented us with unforgettable performances, which made me feel the warmth and friendliness of your schools teachers and students, as well as gifted me new friendship, and further deepened my understanding of traditional Chinese culture.
