In order to deepen cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries and deepen international students' understanding of Chinese society, on the day of April 14th, CIE organized 10 international students from different countries to visit Anzi primary school.The principal of Anzi Primary School, Xue Chunwei, and some teachers and students took part in the activity.
International students first observedandparticipated the ANZI primary school women's football team training.
Afterwards, the primary school student docent explained to the school's photo wall, science and Technology Ocean, the Red Corridor and so on, displaying the students' paintings and calligraphy works.
International students participated the Tea Art class with primary school students. They learnt the basic ceremony of tea, the six major Chinese tea, and received a gift of small pots of tea.
International students complete the Chinese zodiac paper-cut experience with primary school students in the art studio and receive their own zodiac paper-cut according to their date of birth.
International students learn to write Chinese characters with a brush in a Chinese character classroom. Together with the pupils, they wrote“知华”, “友华” and“爱华”.
International students enjoyed the performance of“Jasmine flower” by primary school students in the Guzheng classroom and experienced the Guzheng performance for themselves.
The principal of Anzi Primary School, Xue Chunwei, welcomed the international students' visit and showed the characteristics of other school activities through PPT, so that international students could have a full understanding of Anzi primary school.
International students introduced themselves one by one and introduced their own culture and primary school situation. “Chinese primary schools are different from Bangladeshi primary schools. Su Hui, the international student counselor, said that international students, as learners, witnesses and disseminators of Chinese culture and civilization, are important bridges between China and foreign countries, this activity can give international students a very intuitive understanding of Chinese culture and feelings, to enhance their interest in learning Chinese and learning Chinese culture.
International Student Counsellor Sang Yingzi said that international students' access to primary schools is a vivid practice of ideological and political integration in contemporary universities, middle schools and elementary schools. In this activity, all the teachers and students of Anzi Primary School showed the good features of the New era primary school with the attitude of the host. At the same time, it can effectively cultivate the self-confidence of primary school students and their sense of identity and belonging to Chinese traditional culture.
After the meeting, Anzi Primary School presented an inscription written by its teachers to the Institute of international education on the theme “It is always a pleasure to greet a friend from afar”, expressing the hope that the co-operation between the two schools could be further deepened through diversified activities, we will jointly contribute to the internationalization of the new area.
