I.Introduction
Talented Young Scientist Program (TYSP) is an international mobility scheme funded by the Chinese government aimed at cultivating future leading scientists together with other developing countries.
TYSP promotes cross-border exchanges of excellent young scientists,scholars and researchers. TYSP also enhances cooperation among research institutes, universities and enterprises.
TYSP offers spon sorship for talented young scientist from developing countries to work in China on full time basis for 6 or12 months together with China’s team.

HostInstitute: Alegal entity such as a research institute, a university or anenterprise that has been lawfully set up in China.

1.Foreign Experts Recommend Departments: The competent authority ofscience and technology or the designated science and technology division of the Chinese embassy or consulate in the country where the applicant is based.
2.Foreign Institute: The organization that the applicant serves in hishome country.

3.1 Stage I: Post Information on vacancies
Sponsorship
1.Financial support: Pretax-RMB ? 12,500/month, for 6 or 12 months
2.Job opportunities: work with high-level research team in the world and fulfill research tasks
3.Certification of TYSP: Proof of high-level research experience

3.2 Stage II: Apply for the Position

Eligibilityof Applicants
1.Full-timejob on scientific research or policy study in home country
2.With over five years of research experience or with a doctoral degree
3.Under or at the age of 45
4.Fluency in English or Chinese mandarin
5.Willing to work in China on a full-time basis
6.Comply with laws, regulations and other related rules in China
3.3 Stage III: Work in China
1.Processing necessary documents such as Entry Visa, Foreign Expert Certificateand Residence Permit for Foreigners.
2.Working with high-level research team in the world and fulfill research tasks.
3.4 Beyond TYSP
1.TYSP Certification
When the program is finished, MOST will confer upon the participant the TYSP Certificate based on his/her performance evaluation.
2.Project Tracking
The executive agency will continue to follow up on the project management, encourage foreign experts and their host institutes tokeep cooperation, and apply for bilateral inter governmental join tresearch projects.
