By following the instructions below, the Qingdao foreign experts office will accept your application to work in China. The university willthen issue a Work Permit Notice and an invitation letter which you will need to apply for a Z Visa at the Chinese Embassy in your homecountry.

TypeA: if you are coming directly from your motherland, please preparethe following documents for the application of work permit, and sendthem to International Office:

  1. Profilephoto within 6 months

  2. Passportphoto page

  3. SignedContract

  4. Authenticationof the last degree diploma by the embassy or consulate

  5. Authenticationof the No Criminal Record Certificate by the embassy of Consulate

  6. PhysicalExamination

  7. TESL/TEFLcertificate（ifavailable）

  8. Recommendationletter from your last employer(including: position, employmentperiod, work content, contact person information)

  9. Ifyou have accompanying family members, please prepare the followingdocuments: Family member’s passport photo page and profile photo,certificate of marriage (for your spouse) or birth certificate (foryour children), physical examination ( for the family members whoare 18 years old and above)

TypeA:if you come to China with Z-Visa, please following the steps to getthe work permit:

  1. Pleasegive your passport to the International Office when you

arriveon the campus. Within 24 hours arrival the University will help youto register at the police station. (Address: Room 1209,Administrative Building, Entry from the east gate of the Library)

  1. Youare required to get a blood test at the international physical

examination center in Qingdao with your passport, copy of your passport, 4 2-inchphotos with white background, 500 Yuan RMB, copy of Legal representative certificate of UPC. (Address: International Physical Examination Center Shandong Province, NO. 85, Fuzhou South Road,phone number: 0532-80887797). Please give International Office your examination result on time.

  1. Insurance

The university will help you to buy an insurance in mainland China.

4.International Office will help with the documents for the application of work permit. It needs 5-10 working days to get your work permit.


TypeB: if you are transferring from other employers within the mainlandof China, please prepare the following documents for the applicationof work permit:

  1. Profilephoto within 6 months

  2. Passportprofile page, valid residents permit page, the last entry page

  3. SignedContract

  4. Recommendationletter from your last employer ( including: position, employmentperiod, work content, contact person information, with a stamp formthe employer)

  5. Salaryand Tax certificate from your last employer within latest 3 months

  6. Thecancelation letter of the last work permit from the foreign experts’office

  7. Insurance

  8. Ifyou have accompanying family members, please prepare the followingdocuments: Family member’s passport photo page and profile photo,certificate of marriage (for your spouse) or birth certificate (foryour children).
